All Change at Kingsmead Square

A well established Bath business has said a fond farewell to its head office of the past 35 years in Kingsmead Square.

Video South, which is a market leading company working in the field of digital media and medical imaging, has been based in the heart of Bath since 1978 but is now moving to new premises in Combe Down.

However, with office space in this part of Bath in high demand the unit has not stayed empty for long, and a Wealth Manager with St. James’s Place Wealth Management has already signed a 10 year lease to occupy the third floor and there is strong interest in the two remaining suites.

Lindsay Holdoway, Managing Director of HPH Commercial Property which owns the property in Kingsmead Square said, “It is with sadness that we are saying farewell to Video South. They have been superb tenants for many years, and we wish them the best of luck with their move.”

“Kingsmead Square is home to a diverse range of businesses including cafes and retailers, and office space in this area has always been highly sought after, so we weren’t surprised by the level of interest from other companies as soon as Video South had announced their move.

“I think this is an indication that many businesses are positive about future growth despite the obvious tough economic conditions that all sectors are facing at present. We are certainly finding that there is demand for good quality commercial and retail units and the availability of high quality office space in Bath is reducing.”

Steve Andrews, a Wealth Manager with St. James’s Place Wealth Management said, “Our new offices are ideally located for us in a central part of Bath, and we’re looking forward to a long and prosperous future here.
