Buoyant Commercial Property Market in Chippenham Gathers Pace

/news/Huw_Thomas_3_LR_Dec16_(2)

Local property expert Huw Thomas says that the market for commercial space in Chippenham remains strong and has suffered no ill effects in the post Brexit referendum period.

Huw Thomas, whose business Huw Thomas Commercial is based in Station Hill House, says that a steady stream of enquiries particularly from sole traders and small businesses, is showing that there is a continued demand in the town for quality office space.

These observations are supported by the fact that smaller units in the town are being quickly let, including those within Station Hill House which is now fully occupied after a deal was completed on the last remaining unit.

Huw said, “The market remains strong for smaller commercial spaces, for example single-room offices. More and more people are looking for fully inclusive deals, so they can avoid the pitfalls of ‘hidden’ costs which they may not have accounted for. Today’s prospective tenants also like the flexibility of shorter lease lengths, and somewhere with good broadband connections is definitely desirable.

“Station Hill House is now fully let which is an indicator that the market is particularly buoyant in Chippenham at the moment.”

Lindsay Holdoway, Managing Director of HPH Commercial Property which owns Station Hill House added, “At HPH we are continually investing in our properties to ensure that they remain competitive in the market. Station Hill House has recently undergone some interior upgrades, and this coupled with its prominent position in the town centre has made it a very desirable location for start-ups and small businesses.”
