Chartered accountants, Monahans, which has recently merged its Chippenhan office with Giffard Taylor & Co, moved into Chippenham's Bewley House on 15 November. Monahans is already one of the largest independent chartered accountancy groups in the South West with offices in Swindon, Trowbridge, Glastonbury and Chippenham and this move has created the largest practice in the town.
The newly merged Chippenham office comprises 3 partners and 25 staff and necessitated a move to larger accommodation. Monahans has taken the third floor at Bewley House - owned and managed by HPH Commercial Property - and this follows shortly after the letting of the first floor to law firm Wood Awdry & Ford.
Commented Mark Snelus, Monahans Senior Partner: "The business merger, combined with the move to new premises, is working out very well as it means we can truly integrate the two businesses within a very short space of time. The offices have been fitted out to meet our specific needs and the flexibility of the space has allowed us to create the ideal environment to develop the business and deliver an even better level of service to our clients."
Lindsay Holdoway, Managing Director of HPH Commercial Property said: "We have worked with Monahans for many years as clients and we are delighted to have been able to accommodate their expanded office in Chippenahm. Bewley House is proving popular with organisations who wish their staff of have access to facilities in the town centre and is conveniently located for visiting clients."
The majority of Bewley House is now let with only the ground (5,000 sq. ft) and second floors (2,680 sq. ft) still available.
