Bewley House is now fully occupied with Wiltshire County Council departments of Adult Care Services and Adult Learning completing their move to the newly refurbished offices in Chippenham Town Centre. The deal, which was finalised in April, sees the Council occupy the remaining 7,600 sq ft of office space.
This final move follows previous lettings to M+W Zander, Monahans Chartered Accountants and Wood Awdry Ford who all took space in the new offices during 2004, and is the conclusion of a highly successful project which has contributed widely to the regeneration of Chippenham Town Centre.
Lindsay Holdoway, Managing Director of HPH Commercial Property said of the completion of the move: "We are delighted that the Wiltshire County Council have completed their move into the new premises and we hope that the new facilities will serve them well. The availability of modern office space in town centres is still very limited but the quality of organisations to whom we have let Bewley House shows that there is a strong demand for companies wishing to choose central premises with all the amenities that come with it rather than opt for an out of town park, particularly where there is good onsite car parking."
Also commenting on the completion of the project John Mulholland, Partner at King Sturge, Bath said: “Bewley House project was all about a town centre office location, sustainability, access to amenities and a good working environment for office based staff. This has been achieved and ultimately attracted the right calibre of occupiers.
"The railway station, access to the town centre and to the major road links to the north of the town, are major plus factors and the refurbishment of Bewley House by HPH has proven to be a key factor in the regeneration of this part of the town. This complete letting marks the continued growth of Chippenham as a genuine M4 corridor location."
Simon Price, Office Agency Partner, Alder King: “Bewley House offers a fantastic office location at an extremely high standard of finish and HPH have been able to offer existing Chippenham businesses the opportunity to expand within their present location. This is great news for the Chippenham economy and has meant a retained presence for staff and business.
