Following the £1.4m purchase of Churchward House, Swindon in May this year, HPH Commercial Property have now fully let the building.

The ground floor office (3,805 sq. ft.) has been let to Intelligent Time Systems with the first floor office (4,405 sq. ft.) let to King Sturge & Co since August.

Intelligent Time Systems who were recently announced by Deloitte as one of the fastest growing technology companies in Europe have been looking for new premises for a while. Mark Nutter, Managing Director of Intelligent Time Systems said: “The space at Churchward was ideal for our requirements and the high quality refurbishment only added to this impressive building. It was a unique opportunity that we couldn’t afford to let slip and demonstrates our commitment to further growth in Swindon.”

The grade 2 listed Churchward House was once the administration office of the Great Western engineering works which is now a rapidly developing area of Swindon, with nearby developments including the National Trust headquarters, the National Monuments Record Office and McArthur Glen factory outlet. Further office, hotel and residential plans have recently been approved in the vicinity.

The building received a complete external and structural refurbishment in 1990 by Tarmac. It contains a blend of open plan and cellular office accommodation arranged around a central atrium and staircase and has excellent facilities offering a car park ratio of more than 1:250sq ft. HPH carried out a full refurbishment of the interior including new lighting, decoration, carpets and security and access control systems to enable multiple occupation.

Lindsay Holdoway, Managing Director at HPH Commercial Property said: "A former railway building, Churchward House is a fine example of high quality office facilities in an historic setting. Swindon has an excellent transport infrastructure and is renowned for modern office space. This building offers all the benefits associated with modern offices but in a building which represents an excellent example of Victorian architecture."
