Bath based HPH Commercial Property has let its warehouse at Stephens Way, Warminster Business Park, to national builders' merchants Travis Perkins. As one of the UK's largest suppliers to the building and construction industry, Travis Perkins has an 850 branch network with over 100,000 product lines available.
HPH acquired the building in the summer last year and has since carried out a refurbishment of the 11,760 sq. ft. warehouse.
"There remains a distinct shortage of industrial units of this size in the area." comments Chris Wordsworth, development director of HPH Commercial Property. "We had a number of businesses looking at the premises, and securing a high profile company like Travis Perkins proves there is still active demand within the South West economy."
The modern Stephens Way warehouse, with ground floor showroom, offers a trading space of over 10,000 sqft and office accommodation of over 1,500 sqft on the first floor. Externally the two roller shutter doors face onto a large yard area where there is parking for over 20 vehicles plus additional open storage. The unit lends itself to the internal storage and racking of building materials whilst enabling customers to park easily, load and unload; crucial elements for Travis Perkins operations.
Tony Crowther, Regional Operations Director for Travis Perkins said: "Our business plan includes a focused expansion programme to set up individual units in market towns with a good catchment. Warminster fits this criteria perfectly and we had been looking for a suitable unit for some time. Stephens Way is the right size and configuration, and the location is ideal, giving immediate access to the A350 and A36. We are now working on a short period of fit-out works and aim to be open for trading in the spring."
