INDEPENDENT SPORTS RETAILER STRENGTHENS FOOTHOLD IN BATH
HPH Commercial Property has let the ground floor of 20-22 Monmouth Place, formerly Bath Music Centre, to independent specialist retailer John Moore Sports.

Taking on a 10 year lease for the 1450 sq. ft. unit John Moore Sports will open its third store in the City in order to cater for increased demand and new projects, particularly in the customised team, school and sports clothing arm of the business.

Lindsay Holdoway, managing director of HPH Commercial Property said: ".Following our refurbishment, we knew the property was extremely versatile for a range of different uses and we received a number of competitive proposals reflecting this. We were open-minded as to the exact use and as the site had long been home to a profitable, specialist independent retailer we were keen to secure a letting that would make a positive contribution to this part of the city. We are very pleased that in John Moore Sports we have an established high quality local retailer"

Rob Moore, managing director of the John Moore Sports Group said: "In order to expand our operation we knew we needed to find a new space which combined an accessible location and ample floor area; Monmouth Place offered both, making it ideal. The double frontage provides excellent opportunity for window displays and being close to Charlotte Street car park and the A4 public transport links will make it more convenient to customers. With our specialist sports store on the other side of town, and our dedicated rugby shop, JMS Rugby, closer to the centre, this property location sits well within the John Moore Sports offer."
