Local physiotherapist, Max Golding, has realised a lifelong ambition to open her own Physiotherapy and Sports Injury practice, Physio Max, with the help of HPH Commercial Property.
Since qualifying in 1998 with a First Class Honours Degree from the University of Southampton she has spent the last ten years working for the NHS and MOD, specialising in the treatment of back and neck pain, ligament, muscle and tendon conditions.
The decision to set up her own practice came after working in a local community hospital and realising through the patients that she treated, there was a real need to access physiotherapy treatment more quickly rather than living with pain and discomfort.
Max identified a unit on the Woodland Industrial Estate as an ideal location to set up, with it being close to Westbury but also easily accessible to the A36 and A350 providing excellent links to Warminster, Trowbridge and the surrounding villages. She then approached HPH Commercial Property who own and manage the building. The 700sq ft building was previously being used as occasional storage space by Westbury Packaging but HPH negotiated a surrender of the lease which suited both parties, whilst Max Golding obtained the planning consent for the change of use.
Once granted, HPH devised and implemented a complete refurbishment plan for the building including new double glazing, new flooring, internal and external decoration, new kitchen and toilet facilities as well as installing new lighting, heating, fire and alarm systems.
Now with work completed, Physio Max is ready to open for business on October 13th. The practice has two consulting rooms and a rehabilitation room and will be offering treatment for back and neck disorders and soft tissue problems caused through Occupational, Sports, Gardening and DIY injuries. Max also intends to offer rehab before and after orthopaedic surgery and help for pregnancy related conditions.
Commenting on the launch of Physio Max, Max Golding says: "Many people are living with pain and discomfort everyday which ultimately affects their work, sport and social lives, so it was clear to me that there would be a healthy demand for my services. The location and building is ideal for my business needs and this successful opening has been the result of a tremendous amount of hard work by me and the team at HPH Commercial Property whose assistance has been invaluable."
Lindsay Holdoway, Managing Director of HPH Commercial Property, says: "I am delighted for Max that she is realising her dream of starting and running her own business. We have been able to work closely with her to help customise the unit at Woodlands Industrial Estate to meet her business needs and I am confident that she will be a great success in the local area."
