This attractive public house and restaurant situated in the picturesque village of Monkton Combe near Bath was acquired by HPH for renovation. HPH carried out an extensive external refurbishment to bring the 300 year old grade II listed building back to full repair. The building was subsequently let to Ailsa Bars Ltd who have carried out their own internal refurbishment to provide an attractive pub/restaurant with 7 luxury bedroom and bathrooms in an adjacent stable block and an attractive external garden/seating area. There is car parking for approximately 20 cars.
The Wheelwright’s Arms has now become a popular destination for residents and visitors to Bath being located only 3 miles from the city centre and yet in a peaceful rural setting with many local walks close by. It is listed in many guide books including Alistair Sawday’s British Hotels & Inns and the Michelin Eating Out in Pubs Guide and was awarded four stars by Enjoy England in 2009.
