Independent tattoo studio moves to Trowbridge town centre

Tattoo artist Eli Gander has recently moved to Trowbridge from Bath, joining hair salon, M’dam & M’Sieur, and nail salon, USA Nails, in the same property on Fore Street.

Eli Gander, Founder of Alchemilla says:

“I’ve worked in Bath for most of my career, though now having a strong client base I chose to open a private and tucked away studio to offer my clients a comfortable and quiet environment. Trowbridge is so accessible and convinient for many reasons so it seemed like the perfect location. After a few days of trading I know I made the right choice and I look forward to seeing how Alchemilla evolves.”

With a large online following, Eli’s popularity means that her books are currently closed. Those hoping for an appointment should keep an eye on her Instagram for last minute cancellations.

As town centres evolve and reshape, the wider range of uses enables a broader spectrum of businesses to occupy empty units and offer a variety of services. The future of high streets will depend on them including more businesses that offer services and experiences, in addition to retail outlets.
Independent businesses are injecting life into town centres by adapting and innovating to meet the challenges of the pandemic.

The £16m investment from the Government’s Future High Streets is great news for Trowbridge and HPH Ltd are looking to work with both Wiltshire Council and Trowbridge Town Council to rejuvenate the town centre.

Lindsay Holdoway, Managing Director of HPH Ltd says:

“We were delighted to let this space to Eli as she brings a high quality service into Trowbridge town centre from Bath. The accommodation is above existing operators, and we see a need for varied and wide uses to bring life to our high streets.”
