Local charity receives donation from HPH

Local charity receives £4,000 cash support

Fundraisers at Bath City Farm were delighted when they received a donation from HPH of £4,000 this month. The farm based in Twerton, is a free visitor attraction and supports members of the community who are experiencing hardship, such as ill-health, social isolation or unemployment. The money donated will be used to improve the health and safety of the site, including installing a new hand washing station.

Farm Manager, Helen Fisher said “HPH have been a big support over the past year. Being chosen as HPH’s charity of year for 2019 has enabled us to replace the animal enclosures thanks to their donation of materials and expertise. Now with this generous donation we are able to install a new hand washing facilities. I was not expecting an additional donation of £4,000 at the end of this sponsorship so this really is fantastic news.”

Bath City Farm improved the quality of life to over 700 people last year through a range of targeted projects in animal care, horticulture and catering. Aimed at supporting adults with complex health and social needs and to improving the lives of children facing adversity, the projects run by the farm grow confidence and teach new skills.

Lindsay Holdoway, Managing Director of HPH Commercial Property, said, “As a Bath-based company we aim to support the local community in a variety of ways, and this delivery to Bath City Farm will help the charity to continue its excellent work.”

Helen Fisher added, “We would like to thank HPH for all of their support. Having the backing of local businesses is really important to us.”
