HPH Commercial Property Announces Bath City Farm as its new Charity of the Year

HPH Commercial Property based on Kingsmead Square has announced Bath City Farm as its new charity of the year.

Over the course of the next 12 months, staff at the Bath firm will be taking part in a range of fundraising activities to support the local community farm. HPH will also be offering practical help to the local charity through professional advice and expertise.

Based in Whiteway, Bath City Farm has grown significantly since it started in 1990 and is now home to 100 animals who are looked after by 12 members of staff and more than 50 volunteers.

The community farm delivers 15 different projects based around horticulture, animal care and cookery, supporting disadvantaged and disabled people to develop new skills and confidence. Bath City Farms also works to boost emotional, mental, physical and social well-being, as well as inspiring environmental awareness and activity.

In 2017, Bath City Farm welcomed almost 25,000 visitors to its 37-acre site.

Lindsay Holdoway, Managing Director of HPH Ltd said, “Bath City Farm is a very important local community charity that supports people to develop new skills and passions.

“The organisation helps people of all ages through a wide range of community events and HPH Commercial Property are pleased to be offering support and advice over the next 12 months.

“We look forward to working closely with the team at Bath City Farm and learning more about the work they do.”

General Manager for Bath City Farm Helen Fisher added, “We are really honored to have been selected as charity of the year by HPH.

“As a small local charity we rely on the support of people and businesses in the community to keep our work going with some of the most disadvantaged people in Bath and north east Somerset, offering them a safe space to thrive and grow.

“We help to change the lives of nearly 700 people a year with complex health needs and welcome over 20,000 visitors a year to enjoy our fantastic site for free. We are only able to do this through generous donors and supporters, like HPH. This award will make a true difference to the people using the farm (and of course the lovely animals!).”

Last year HPH supported local charity Dorothy House Hospice Care and raised over £5,000 following a year of fundraising.
